The World Needs Susan Sontag

Not a day goes by when I don't hear her:

“John, it’s the beginning mind I embrace."

“Do stuff. Be clenched, curious. Not waiting for inspiration’s shove or society’s kiss on your forehead. Pay attention. It’s all about paying attention. Attention is vitality. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. John, stay eager.”

"Do something, John. Do something. Do something."

"John: Although none of the rules for becoming more alive is valid, it is healthy to keep on formulating them."

And finally, of course:
"Sanity is a cozy lie."
